There has been a lot of talk about where Fernando Torres will play fotball this season. Many clubs would like to have the brilliant striker in their teams.

Manchester City and Roberto Manchini is willing to put an incredible amount of money on the table to get Torres to play for City. If Torres want to, City is willing to pay what will be a recordbreaking sum in Premier League. As it is now, it all depends on Torres. The fact that he is not satisfied with what Liverpool did last time he decided to stay at Anfield, is not in Liverpools favour this time.

Martin Jol, is most likely the new Fulham manager. After Roy Hodgson went to Liverpool, Fulham has been desperate to get a new manager. At the end of the week we will know for sure.

Joe Cole has just signed up for four years at Anfield Road. Liverpool is very happy getting Cole in their squad. Cole that has been in and out of Chelsea’s team the last years, is a Bosman player and will receive a hefty sign on fee from Liverpool.

Milner vil til Liverpool

Aston Villas etterspurte Englandstjerne James Milner har angivelig utelukket enhver sjanse til en overgang til Manchester United.

Søndagens News of the World hevder Milner ikke ville  bytte til Old Trafford på grunn av hans Leeds United forbindelser. Den 24 år gamle Milner er født og oppvokst i byen og fikk 48 kamper for de hvite før han dro til Newcastle for £ 3.6million i 2004.

 Hans verdi har steget betydelig de siste seks årene og faktisk så mye at Villamanager Martin O’Neill nå sies å være på jakt etter rundt £ 40millioner hvis Milner skulle selges. 

Det ville blandt annet bety at Manchester City, som allerede har hatt følere ute og etter sigende skulle tilby en sum rundt £ 20million, har måtte øke den summen vesentlig for å få i stand en avtale om å kjøpe Milner.

Chelsea er også sagt å være interessert, men forskjellige medier i England sier at Milners første preferanse ville være Liverpool – men bare hvis han kunne følge O’Neill til Anfield.

 Villa sjefen har vært koblet til Liverpool jobben, og det kan skje om Rafa Benitez går til et annet lag i sommer. 

At Liverpool kan ha bruk for en spiller som Milner er hevet over en hver tvil, og man kan vel si med kanskje stor sikkerhet at Benitez’ tid på Anfield nærmer seg slutten.

Nå i silly season kan alt skje så det blir spennende å se utviklinking på transfermarkedet.
